PromoSoft is  inspired by something we found quite by accident.   Our sister company, Town Local Digital, produced a small application called GenFinder, which is a simple collection of links designed to be useful to those who study Genealogy.  We were trying to draw a Genealogy crowd since Town Local Digital specializes in photographic restoration services.  

What happened next is nothing short of amazing.   In less than two months there were more than 5,000 downloads of the product and our web site traffic picked up by more than 2000 percent.  For every ten visitors who accessed our site for GenFinder, one of them checked out our other services, and sales increased for us with NO additional marketing efforts on our part.

I shared this news with a select group of talented programmers and solicited their involvement in a new company based on these principles which has now evolved into PromoSoft.   Our goal is simple.  We produce freeware that is easy to use, even by the newest of computer users, for the purpose of customization for other companies that would enjoy the traffic building results that we have stumbled upon.  We do NOT embed any adware, spyware or other privacy infringing schemes into our software.   We believe that honesty in business is good business.  And we offer these products at affordable prices suitable to any budget.
